FAQ
Frequently asked
- Is it sealed?
- It's a cold system — gaps between vertical panels are ~3-5mm. That means wind and rain protection but no thermal insulation. For a year-round room you want warm aluminum instead.
- Is it safe?
- Tempered glass shatters into small cubic fragments rather than shards if it ever breaks. Standard hardware. Safe for residential use.
- Cost?
- Signature tier ($400+/m²). More expensive than framed, but the only solution for true panoramic views.
- Sound?
- Cold system — gaps between panels mean ~25-28 dB attenuation. Batumi boulevard becomes background hum, not silence.
- Can I install fixed (non-sliding) panels?
- Yes — fully fixed panels are an option. Cleaner sightlines, lower cost, but you lose the summer-terrace mode.
- Lifecycle?
- Glass: 25-30 years with normal care. Silicone seals: replacement every 3-5 years (~$30-50 per unit). Tracks: 15-20 years.
